Why Choose Phx 10–375 Adsorption Dryers?

Moisture in compressed air can cause corrosion, contamination, equipment wear and production problems. Adsorption dryers address these issues by passing compressed air through a desiccant that captures water vapour.

The PHx 10–375 uses a two-tower heatless adsorption process. While one tower dries the incoming compressed air, the other tower regenerates its saturated desiccant using dry, expanded purge air. The towers then alternate automatically to maintain continuous dry-air delivery.

Step 1 – Moist Compressed Air Entry
Compressed air containing water vapour enters the active adsorption tower.

Step 2 – Moisture Adsorption
The air passes through high-grade desiccant, where moisture is captured.

Step 3 – Dry Air Delivery
The treated air leaves the active tower with a pressure dew point down to -40°C.

Step 4 – Desiccant Saturation
As the drying cycle continues, the desiccant gradually becomes saturated with moisture.

Step 5 – Tower Regeneration
The second tower is regenerated using dry, expanded purge air.

Step 6 – Purge Optimization
The Purge Economizer adjusts the amount of purge air according to the actual moisture load.

Step 7 – Tower Switching
Once regeneration is complete, the towers switch roles automatically.

Step 8 – Continuous Drying
The regenerated tower resumes drying while the other tower enters regeneration.

Constant -40°C Pressure Dew Point

The PHx range provides a pressure dew point down to -40°C / -40°F, helping protect critical compressed-air systems from moisture-related problems.

Compact Vertical Design

The vertical configuration is designed to minimize installation space and can be installed machine-side or in suitable panel-mounted applications.

Approximately 15% Purge Consumption

Purge-air consumption is limited to approximately 15%, helping reduce compressed-air losses during regeneration.

Purge Economizer

The Purge Economizer adapts purge-air consumption to the actual moisture load, which can vary with airflow, temperature, pressure and dew point. This helps avoid unnecessary purge-air consumption.

Low Pressure Drop

Pressure drop is below 0.3 bar across the published model range, helping minimize the energy required to maintain downstream pressure.

High-Grade Desiccant

The PHx uses high-grade activated alumina and molecular sieve desiccant to effectively adsorb moisture from compressed air.

Reliable Two-Tower Operation

The alternating adsorption and regeneration cycle provides continuous dry compressed air while maintaining stable dryer operation.

Low Noise Operation

The published noise level is below 70 dBA, supporting installation in a range of industrial environments.

Robust Construction

The dryer is designed for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments with a focus on long-term performance.

Digital Controller

An intuitive digital controller simplifies operation and incorporates Purge Economizer functionality.
