Large compressed-air installations can lose significant energy through conventional purge-based drying. The PB 760–7400 HE addresses this challenge with blower purge and zero purge adsorption technology, using heated ambient air for desiccant regeneration rather than sacrificing compressed air.
The range combines high-efficiency multi-layered silica gel desiccant, counter-current regeneration, low internal pressure drop and intelligent cycle management. The Zero Purge configurations go further by eliminating compressed-air purge loss during the cooling stage, making them particularly suitable for installations where annual operating hours and lifecycle energy costs are significant.

The PB 760–7400 HE uses two adsorption towers operating alternately between drying and regeneration.
Step 1 – Moist Compressed Air Entry
Compressed air containing water vapour enters the active adsorption tower.
Step 2 – Moisture Adsorption
The compressed air flows through the multi-layered silica gel desiccant, which captures moisture.
Step 3 – Dry Air Delivery
The treated air leaves the active tower with the required low pressure dew point.
Step 4 – Desiccant Saturation
As the drying cycle progresses, the active desiccant gradually accumulates moisture.
Step 5 – Heated Blower Regeneration
A dedicated blower supplies ambient air to the regeneration circuit. The air is heated and passed through the saturated desiccant to remove the accumulated moisture.
Step 6 – Cooling
After regeneration, the desiccant is cooled before returning to the adsorption cycle.
Step 7 – Zero Purge Operation
On Zero Purge configurations, the cooling process is managed without sacrificing compressed-air purge, further reducing energy losses.
Step 8 – Tower Switching
The two towers alternate automatically, allowing one tower to dry compressed air while the other regenerates.
Step 9 – Continuous Operation
The alternating cycle provides continuous production of dry compressed air for the plant network.
High-Capacity Drying
With a maximum nominal capacity of 12,600 m³/h, the PB 760–7400 HE is designed for large centralized compressed-air systems and demanding industrial facilities.
-40°C Pressure Dew Point
The standard configuration provides a pressure dew point of -40°C / -40°F, helping protect equipment, pneumatic systems and production processes from moisture-related problems.
Optional -70°C Performance
A -70°C / -94°F pressure dew point is available for applications requiring exceptionally dry compressed air. The manufacturer lists this as an option for Zero Purge versions.
Blower Purge Regeneration
The blower purge configuration uses heated ambient air to regenerate the desiccant, avoiding compressed-air purge loss during regeneration.
Zero Purge Technology
Zero Purge variants additionally eliminate compressed-air purge loss during cooling, helping reduce lifecycle energy costs for installations with high utilization.
Smart Cycle Control
The Smart Cycle Control algorithm adjusts dryer operation at partial loads, helping reduce energy consumption without requiring a dew-point sensor as part of this control strategy.
Advanced Energy Management
Compressor synchronization, optional PDP control, regeneration and cooling temperature control, and purge-nozzle optimization can work together to improve overall dryer efficiency.
Multi-Layered Silica Gel Desiccant
High-quality, high-efficiency, long-life multi-layered silica gel provides reliable moisture adsorption and supports stable pressure dew-point performance.
Counter-Current Regeneration
Counter-current regeneration helps optimize energy use and supports consistent production of dry compressed air.
Long-Life 4-Way Valve
The high-performance 4-way valve directs airflow between the two towers during drying and regeneration. Its durable design is intended to reduce wear and maintenance requirements.
Advanced PureLogic™ Touch Controller
PureLogic™ Touch provides real-time monitoring and control of dryer performance, with remote access for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Sonic Nozzle Protection
The sonic nozzle and large welded vessels help minimize the risk of desiccant crushing during operation.
Efficient Electric Heater
The stainless-steel insulated heater construction is designed to provide efficient airflow, energy use and long operating life.
Compact Base Frame
The base frame incorporates forklift slots to simplify transportation and handling while helping reduce the required installation footprint.
Galvanized Piping
Galvanized pipes with flanged connections simplify maintenance and help minimize the risk of leakage.
