Why Choose Cool 12–272 Refrigeration Dryers?

Compressed air leaving a compressor is saturated with water vapour. If this moisture is not removed, it can lead to corrosion, malfunctioning pneumatic equipment and reduced service life of downstream components. COOL 12–272 refrigeration dryers cool compressed air, condense the moisture and remove it before the dry air enters the distribution network.

The refrigeration dryer removes moisture by cooling compressed air until the water vapour condenses.

Step 1 – Moist Air Entry
Warm, moisture-laden compressed air enters the dryer.

Step 2 – Air-to-Air Heat Exchange
The incoming air is pre-cooled by the outgoing dry air.

Step 3 – Refrigeration Cooling
The pre-cooled air passes through the air-to-refrigerant heat exchanger.

Step 4 – Moisture Condensation
As the compressed air temperature decreases, water vapour condenses into liquid moisture.

Step 5 – Condensate Removal
The condensed moisture is removed from the compressed-air stream.

Step 6 – Air Reheating
The dried air passes back through the air-to-air heat exchanger, where it is reheated.

Step 7 – Dry Air Delivery
The treated air exits the dryer with a pressure dew point of approximately 5°C.

Step 8 – Downstream Protection
The reduced moisture content helps prevent condensation and moisture-related problems throughout the compressed-air network.

Stable 5°C Pressure Dew Point

The COOL range provides a pressure dew point as low as 5°C / 41°F, corresponding to ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 5 moisture quality.

Economical Drying Solution

The range combines selected refrigeration components and an efficient cooling system to provide reliable compressed-air drying at a competitive investment level.

Compact Installation

The vertical construction provides a small footprint, making the dryers practical for compressor rooms and production areas where floor space is limited.

Simple Plug-and-Play Installation

Mechanical and electrical plug-and-play connections help simplify installation and commissioning.

Protection of Downstream Equipment

Removing moisture helps reduce corrosion and moisture-related damage to pneumatic tools, valves, actuators and compressed-air equipment.

Lower Operating Costs

The efficient refrigeration system is designed to keep energy consumption controlled during normal operation.

Long Service Intervals

Long maintenance intervals help reduce routine servicing requirements and associated downtime.

Easy Component Access

Key components are readily accessible, helping simplify inspection and maintenance.
