Why Choose AC 2650–8500 Vsd?

Large industrial compressed-air systems often experience significant variations in demand. The AC 2650–8500 VSD range responds to these variations by adjusting refrigeration capacity according to actual air demand, while maintaining the required pressure dew point. This helps reduce wasted energy and supports reliable dry-air delivery for high-flow applications.

The dryer uses refrigeration to cool compressed air, condense moisture and remove it before the air enters the downstream distribution system.

Step 1 – Moist Air Entry
Warm, moisture-laden compressed air enters the refrigeration dryer.

Step 2 – Air-to-Air Cooling
The incoming compressed air is pre-cooled by the outgoing dry air through the air-to-air heat exchanger.

Step 3 – Refrigeration Cooling
The air passes through the air-to-refrigerant heat exchanger, where its temperature is reduced further.

Step 4 – Moisture Condensation
Cooling causes water vapour to condense into liquid moisture.

Step 5 – Condensate Removal
The collected moisture is removed through the dryer drain system.

Step 6 – Air Reheating
The dried compressed air is reheated through the air-to-air heat exchanger.

Step 7 – Dry Air Delivery
The treated air exits with a pressure dew point of approximately 3°C.

Step 8 – VSD Load Matching
The refrigeration compressor adjusts speed according to actual compressed-air demand, improving efficiency during partial-load operation.

High-Flow Air Treatment

With capacities up to 14,400 m³/h, the range is designed for large industrial compressed-air systems.

Variable Speed Drive Technology

The VSD inverter automatically adjusts refrigeration compressor speed according to actual compressed-air demand, reducing unnecessary energy consumption at lower loads.

Stable 3°C Pressure Dew Point

Direct-expansion technology helps maintain a stable pressure dew point of approximately 3°C across operating conditions.

Multiple Energy Modes

The VSD control algorithm provides different operating strategies, including economy operation, lowest-dew-point operation and maximum-saving operation.

Better Part-Load Efficiency

The dryer achieves improved turndown efficiency when operating below full load, making it well suited to plants with fluctuating compressed-air demand.

Low Pressure Drop

Efficient heat-exchanger design minimizes pressure losses, helping reduce the additional compressor energy associated with air-treatment equipment.

Air- or Water-Cooled Configuration

The range is available in both air-cooled and water-cooled versions, providing flexibility based on plant utilities and installation conditions.

Advanced Monitoring

The PureLogic Touch controller provides real-time operating information, control and performance monitoring to support efficient operation and maintenance.
