The PPOG 1–137 uses PSA technology to separate oxygen from nitrogen and other gases in compressed air.
Step 1 – Air Intake
Clean, treated compressed air enters the oxygen generator.
Step 2 – Molecular Separation
Air passes through vessels containing Zeolite Molecular Sieves.
Step 3 – Nitrogen Adsorption
The ZMS selectively captures nitrogen and other impurities.
Step 4 – Oxygen Production
Oxygen passes through as the concentrated product gas.
Step 5 – ZMS Regeneration
The vessels alternate between pressure levels to regenerate the adsorbent for continuous operation.
Step 6 – Oxygen Delivery
Oxygen is delivered at the selected purity and required flow.
